A national level entrance test is conducted by AMU for admission to B. Sc. (Hons.) courses in the faculties of Science, Life Science and Agricultural Science in following courses:

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Geography

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Geology

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Statistics

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Industrial Chemistry

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Applications

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Zoology

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Biochemistry

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science

Courses will be offered in order of merit and based on preference given by the candidates.

Eligibility

Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination with at least 55% marks in aggregate of English and three subjects from amongst Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Home Science.

Important Dates

Exam Analysis

There shall be one objective type paper of 100 marks with the following components:
Section I English : 25 Marks
Section Il Chemistry : 25 Marks
Section Ill Physics : 25 Marks
Section IV Mathematics : 25 Marks
Section V Biology : 25 Marks
Section VI Home Science : 25 Marks
Note: Sections I, II and III are compulsory. Candidates have to attempt any one Section from IV and V to be considered for admission in the Faculty of Science and/or Life Sciences. Candidates will have to attempt any one Section from IV, V and VI to be
considered for admission to Home Science in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences. Option for attempting Section VI (Home Science) is available to Female candidates only.
 

Exam Duration – 2 hrs

 

Mode of Examination – Offline (OMR based)

 

Negative Marking - For incorrect response, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Test Centers - The Admission Test shall be held at Aligarh (U.P.), Lucknow (U.P.), Srinagar (J. & K.), Kolkata (W.B.), Patna (Bihar), Kozhikode (Kerala) & Khanapara (Meghalaya).
