The Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam, also known as JNVST, is an entrance examination designed and conducted by CBSE for admission to Class 6 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) across India.

A. Exam Date & Last Date to Apply

• JNVST-2024 is scheduled on 20.01.2024 & last date to apply through online portal is 10.08.2023.

 

B. Eligibility Criteria

• Only the bonafide resident candidates from the district concerned where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been located are eligible to apply for admission.

• Candidates who have passed class V before the session 2023-24 or repeated candidates are not allowed.

• A candidate seeking admission must not have been born before 01-05-2012 and after 30-04-2014 (Both dates are inclusive).

• A candidate seeking admission to class VI must have studied and passed classes III, IV and V from a Govt. /Govt. aided/ recognized school spending one full academic session in each class.

• No candidate is eligible to appear in the selection test for the second time, under any circumstances.

  

C. Exam Pattern

• JNVST is an objective type test consisting of multiple-choice questions.

• The exam is designed to test the knowledge and aptitude of the students in areas such as mental ability, arithmetic, and language. There will be total 85 questions of total 100 mraks

  • Mental Ability: 40 Questions - 50 Marks

  • Arithmetic Test: 20 Question - 25 Marks

  • Language Test: 20 Questios - 25 Marks

• Exam duration - 2 hrs
