NPCIL Recruitment 2020 for Graduate Engineers in various disciplines through GATE

Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) has notified 200 vacancies for Executive Trainees in various disciplines through GATE 2018/2019/2020 score. Detailed information regarding eligibility, selection process, important dates.

Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) is a Public Sector Enterprise under Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and is responsible for design, construction, commissioning and operation of nuclear power reactors. NPCIL has notified 200 vacancies for Executive Trainees as per details given below:


Eligibility


  • BE/B Tech/B Sc (Engineering)/5 year Integrated M Tech with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from University/Deemed University or Institute recognized by AICTE/ UGC.

  • Candidates in final year of course may also apply. However they should pass the final examination before 30th November, 2020 with minimum percentage as mentioned above.


Upper Age Limit as on 02.04.2020:


General/ EWS: 26 Years, OBC (NCL): 29 Years, SC/ST: 31 Years, PwBD – General/ EWS: 36 Years, PwBD – OBC (NCL): 39 Years, PwBD – SC/ST: 41 Years


Selection Procedure


Shortlisting of candidates for Personal Interview will be done in the order of merit drawn on the basis of valid GATE 2018, GATE 2019 and GATE 2020 Scores by applying ratio of 1:12.



Discipline wise GATE paper corresponding to various disciplines:


Applicants must have a valid GATE-2018 / GATE-2019 / GATE-2020 Score in the same engineering discipline as the qualifying degree discipline (except for Industrial & Fire Safety discipline). For Industrial & Fire Safety discipline, applicants must have a valid GATE-2018 / GATE-2019 / GATE-2020 Score in Mechanical/Chemical discipline.


Personal Interview:


Final selection will be done on the basis of performance in the Personal Interview. No weightage will be given to GATE Score during the final selection. Candidates appearing for interview will have choice of answering the questions either in Hindi or English. The qualifying marks for interview will be 70% for Unreserved and 60% for EWS/SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.


Interviews are scheduled tentatively in the 4th week of April, 2020. Interviews will be conducted in four cities viz Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Bengaluru. Candidates are advised to indicate city of preference to appear for interview in the online application form.


Place of Posting/ Package/ Bond


The selected candidates will be required to undergo one year orientation training, after successful completion of which, ETs will be appointed as Scientific Officer-C in Group ‘A’. During and after training, selected candidates may be posted at any DAE establishment in India or abroad depending on organizational requirement. Monthly stipend during training will be Rs.55,000/- and after training,pay in the pay matrix will be Rs.56,100/- + applicable Dearness Allowance and other allowances.


Selected candidates are required to execute a bond of Rs.6,78,000/- to serve NPCIL for at least three years after successful completion of training.


Application Fee


Application Fee is Rs.500/- for Male applicants belonging to Unreserved/ OBC/ EWS categories. Female applicants, applicants belonging to SC/ST category, PwBD, Ex Servicemen, Dependents of Defence Personnel Killed in Action and employees of NPCIL are exempted from payment of application fee.
